About The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls
The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls (SZPAG) opened in 2000 to provide an international education for girls while ensuring they have a deep understanding of their culture, heritage and Islamic faith. Approximately 95% of students are Emirati. The school has been accredited by CIS and NEASC, is recognized by the College Board for Advanced Placement courses, and was rated as "Outstanding" in the ADEK Irtiqaa inspection program. The mission is "Honoring the past. Educating for the future." The school comprises three distinct buildings on shared grounds: an Early Childhood building for Pre-K to Grade 1, an Elementary building for Grades 2-5, and a Secondary building for Grades 6-12. The school follows a co-educational model from Pre-K through Grade 3, transitioning to all-girls from Grade 4 onward. SZPAG is an Apple Distinguished School with a one-to-one iPad scheme for Grades 3-12 and is a paperless school in middle and high school phases. The curriculum blends Massachusetts Common Core standards with UAE Ministry of Education standards for Arabic. The school offers College Prep, Honors, and Advanced Placement course levels in high school.
