Ras Al Khaimah American Academy (RAKAA)

Ras Al Khaimah American Academy was established in 2008 as a fulfillment of His Highness Sheikh Faisal Bin Saqr Al Qassimi's dream and vision of a school where students in Ras Al Khaimah will receive the highest quality education, be nurtured, and grow in confidence; a school which is forward thinking and promotes critical skills and excellence. RAKAA is a unique school that combines the rigor of an international educational model with the embodiment of Emirati values, national identity, and faith. The school offers an elevated American Curriculum for KG-1 up to Grade 12, which is aligned with the American Common Core Standards (CCSS) in all subjects, except for Science, which is aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Arabic, Islamic Education and Arabic Social Studies are Core subjects following the Ministry of Education (MOE) syllabus and textbooks. RAKAA is accredited by COGNIA, a US-based Accreditation Board for International Schools. The school provides high-quality instruction to over 1,200 students and has both Girls' and Boys' sections (boys' section grades 4-12, with KG-Grade 3 mixed gender).
