About Heriot-Watt University Dubai
Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus is a satellite campus of Heriot-Watt University based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Established in 2005, it was one of the first campus of an overseas university to open in Dubai International Academic City. With a history dating back to 1821, Heriot-Watt has a long tradition of excellence and a proven track record in educating, inspiring and challenging the professionals of tomorrow. The university is one of the top UK universities for business and industry and has an established reputation for world-class teaching and practical, leading-edge research. In 2021, Heriot-Watt opened a new campus in Dubai Knowledge Park, featuring a modern 48,000 sq. ft. James Watt Building with digitally enabled learning environments, dedicated student hub, central student services centre, enhanced library and social learning spaces, digital classrooms, seminar rooms, studios, and laboratories. The university offers a range of programmes at degree entry, undergraduate and postgraduate level, covering management, engineering, built environment, food science, fashion, data science, computing, AI, business, accounting, finance, psychology, architecture and design, and construction. In 2019, Heriot-Watt University Dubai was awarded five stars by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and was crowned the 'Best University' at the first Forbes Middle East Higher Education Awards.
