Dubai English Speaking Schools

Dubai English Speaking Schools (DESS) is a not-for-profit organisation providing outstanding British education through three schools. From a small primary school founded in 1963, DESS has grown to serve 2900 students across three outstanding British curriculum schools: DESS Oud Metha (ages 3-11, established 1963), DESS Academic City (ages 3-11, opening September 2025), and DESS College (ages 11-18, founded 2005). The organisation aims to provide consistently outstanding British education in an inclusive learning environment that prioritises diversity, wellbeing and resilience. DESS welcomes students, staff and parents from different backgrounds with 114 student nationalities represented. The schools have received 21 outstanding inspection outcomes and are accredited by KHDA, BSO, and other international bodies. All schools provide opportunities for students to flourish in an environment built on kindness, gratitude, and humanity, ensuring they are aspirational and nurtured in their creative, social, and emotional capacities.
